Technical Onboarding Manager
About the Role:
- This pivotal role serves as the technical lead for onboarding new customers onto our card issuing and processing services. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, providing the technical expertise for product configuration and troubleshooting to ensure each customer's unique requirements are met.
- While the Project Manager manages the overall onboarding process and customer relationship, your focus will be the technical implementation. This includes ensuring correct configurations, supporting production readiness, and resolving technical issues before, during, and after go-live, ultimately ensuring successful and confident customer launches.
- This position requires a strong blend of technical DevOps skills and effective customer communication. Daily collaboration with internal product and engineering teams, customer-facing colleagues, and direct customer interaction will be essential. This is an ideal opportunity to deepen your knowledge in payments, DevOps configuration, and customer delivery within a dynamic fintech environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Act as the primary technical counterpart to the Project Manager, taking ownership of configuration-related tasks for card program setups. This includes whitelisting API addresses, setting up SFTP access for file delivery, and configuring customer-specific 3DS landing pages and webhooks.
- Translate customer requirements into precise configuration steps, ensuring accurate system setup for elements like BIN settings, product parameters, file formats, and custom features.
- Serve as the initial technical point of contact during onboarding and the initial stages of production.
- Address customer inquiries related to their configuration, transactions, and system interactions.
- Conduct technical onboarding sessions and workshops for customers.
- Contribute to root cause analysis of production incidents, integrating findings into internal knowledge bases and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, changes, and customer-specific logic to ensure operational continuity.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience in a technical, product, or delivery role within the payments, fintech, or card issuing sectors.
- Solid understanding of card scheme processes, issuer configuration logic, and practical customer use cases.
- Proficiency in configuration tools, file formats (ISO, CSV, XML), and APIs (experience with tools like Postman, SOAPUI).
- Strong familiarity with coding tools and experience in areas such as AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Python, Java, and REST APIs.
- Comfort in reading logs (e.g., via Sumologic) and utilizing SQL or similar tools for issue investigation.
- Experience working with issuers to enable digital wallets.
- Experience coordinating with payment schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard).
- Experience collaborating with certification test houses.
- Experience enabling xPays such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical details in a business-friendly manner.
