Engineering Manager
About The Role:
- In this role, you will lead two teams responsible for delivering Enfuce’s most critical service to our customers: Card Processing at scale. You will play a key part in ensuring reliability, innovation, and customer trust in our core platform.
What You'll Be Doing:
- You will have 13-15 direct reports across the two teams consisting of Backend Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts..
- You will be responsible for coaching and developing the people in your team, ensuring timely project delivery, setting a high quality standard and leading the teams to have the greatest impact for Enfuce and our customers. You will work closely with Product managers and Senior leadership to ensure we ship the right work at the right time. You will inspire your teams and those around you though embodying the Enfuce values.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience leading and managing high performing Backend Engineers.
- Experience managing more than one team.
- Prior experience building and running applications in Java Spring Boot (coding is not required in the role but Engineering leaders are expected to be technical enough to get into the details and participate in architecture discussions their teams)
- Growth mindset, curious to learn about card issuing and the payments industry
- Excellent communication in English and adept at writing cogent strategy and vision documents to drive alignment across the business
- Experience setting and managing systems with strict SLAs
- Experience applying observability and traceability best practices
- Experience working with AWS for hosting.
