Senior Product Scheme Compliance Manager
About the role:
At Enfuce, scheme compliance sits at the heart of how we safely scale our card issuing platform and payments infrastructure business across Europe.
We’re now looking for a Scheme Compliance Manager to join the Product organisation and take ownership of Enfuce’s relationship with Visa and Mastercard scheme requirements, ensuring we remain compliant, operationally prepared and positioned to take advantage of opportunities created by evolving scheme mandates.
This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of card scheme notifications, releases and compliance obligations. You will interpret new requirements, assess business impacts, coordinate implementation activities and ensure internal stakeholders remain aligned and accountable for delivery.
Working closely with Product, Compliance, Legal, Risk and Technology teams, this is a highly cross-functional role suited to someone who enjoys ownership, stakeholder management and translating complex technical or regulatory requirements into clear business actions.
The role combines scheme compliance, governance, project coordination, stakeholder engagement and regulatory change management within a fast-growing fintech environment. It is not a traditional compliance role focused solely on policy or controls. Instead, it sits at the intersection of product, operations and compliance, ensuring Enfuce can continue to innovate whilst remaining fully aligned with Visa and Mastercard requirements.
What you'll be doing:
Own the end-to-end management of Visa and Mastercard scheme notifications, releases and compliance requirements, ensuring changes are assessed, prioritised and implemented within mandated timelines.
Monitor, analyse and interpret scheme publications, translating complex technical and regulatory content into actionable business requirements for Product, Technology, Compliance and Operations teams.
Establish and own Enfuce’s scheme compliance framework, including governance processes, controls and ways of working that ensure ongoing alignment with card scheme obligations as the business continues to scale.
Coordinate cross-functional implementation activities, ensuring stakeholders understand their responsibilities, remain accountable for delivery and maintain visibility of key milestones, risks and deadlines.
Act as the primary liaison between Enfuce and the card schemes for scheme-related compliance matters, building effective relationships and ensuring clear communication of requirements and expectations.
Present scheme-driven topics, risks and decisions through appropriate governance forums, including the Risk and Compliance Committee, helping senior stakeholders make informed decisions.
Identify opportunities arising from scheme changes that could benefit Enfuce or its customers, proactively partnering with Product teams to drive awareness, engagement and implementation.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, reporting and implementation tracking, providing regular updates, risk assessments and compliance status reporting to senior leadership.
Explore opportunities to utilise AI, automation and improved tooling to streamline the monitoring, triage and management of scheme mandates and compliance activities.
What you'll bring:
Significant experience within payments, card schemes, compliance, regulatory operations or related environments, ideally gained within card issuing, acquiring, processing, fintech or regulated financial services organisations.
Strong understanding of Visa and Mastercard rules, release cycles, scheme mandates and compliance obligations.
Proven experience coordinating complex cross-functional initiatives, managing competing priorities and driving accountability across multiple stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and collaborate effectively across Product, Technology, Compliance, Legal and Risk functions.
Experience translating technical, regulatory or scheme-driven requirements into practical implementation plans and business actions.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and ensure compliance deadlines are consistently met.
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with comfort operating in evolving scale-up environments where structure, governance and processes continue to mature.
