Risk Manager
About The Role:
As a Risk Manager at Enfuce, you'll play an important role in supporting our second line risk management function, helping identify, assess, monitor and report key risks across the business.
You'll work closely with our Senior Risk & Compliance Manager and Chief Risk Officer to maintain a practical and effective enterprise risk management framework, providing constructive advice, challenge and oversight to first line teams.
This is a hands-on risk role with exposure across the organisation. You'll support areas including RCSAs, risk appetite, KRIs, incident management, operational resilience, control testing, issue tracking and risk reporting.
We're looking for someone who understands what good second line risk management looks like in practice and can combine strong risk discipline with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support the maintenance and development of Enfuce's enterprise risk management framework, including policies, risk taxonomy, methodologies and governance processes.
Coordinate and support Risk and Control Self-Assessments across business areas, helping teams identify risks, assess controls, challenge residual risk positions and track remediation.
Support the development and monitoring of Enfuce's Risk Appetite Framework, including appetite statements, thresholds, escalation routes and reporting.
Develop, monitor and report Key Risk Indicators, following up with metric owners and escalating areas operating outside agreed appetite.
Prepare clear risk reporting for governance forums, including the Risk & Compliance Committee and other management committees.
Review and challenge risk and control information provided by first line teams, improving the quality and consistency of management information.
Support second line oversight of incidents, including risk assessment, severity and impact review, root cause analysis, lessons learned and remediation tracking.
Help assess whether incidents create regulatory notification requirements, working with Compliance, Legal, Operations and other relevant teams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Enfuce's incident management framework and processes.
Provide risk input into operational resilience, business continuity, outsourcing, third party risk and DORA-related activity.
Support the development of risk scoring methodologies, impact assessments and risk matrices.
Provide constructive second line challenge on business initiatives, product or process changes, incidents and remediation plans.
Conduct control testing, thematic reviews, monitoring activity and targeted risk assessments.
Support risk-related regulatory submissions, incident notifications and other regulator-facing responses.
Track risk issues, control deficiencies and remediation actions through to completion.
Help strengthen risk awareness across Enfuce through guidance, stakeholder engagement and practical support.
What You'll Bring:
Practical risk management experience gained within financial services, fintech, payments or another regulated environment.
Strong understanding of risk management principles and how they operate within a second line function.
Experience with RCSAs, risk registers, control assessments, risk scoring, risk reporting or risk governance.
Experience supporting risk appetite frameworks, KRIs, committee reporting or management risk reporting.
Practical exposure to incident management, including assessment, root cause analysis, issue tracking, remediation monitoring and lessons learned.
Good understanding of operational risk, control design, control effectiveness and remediation.
Working knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity, outsourcing or third party risk.
Ability to review risk and control information, identify themes and translate them into clear management information.
Confidence providing constructive challenge while remaining pragmatic and commercially aware.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication with senior stakeholders and governance committees.
Ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities through to completion.
Experience within payments, e-money, card issuing, BIN sponsorship or embedded finance would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of UK or EU payments and e-money regulation would be beneficial.
Experience with DORA, operational resilience, outsourcing regulation, GRC tooling, regulatory notifications or automated risk reporting is also valuable.
